THE COUPLE

Dustin Kidd and Hayley (Reid) Kidd from Marion, IL  

HOW THEY MET

We met each other in high school. After school, everyone would hang out by the old movie theater in the Fazolis’ parking lot. We started dating a couple years after we first met.

 THE PROPOSAL

The proposal was absolutely perfect and I had no idea it was going to happen. It was at a buddy’s house with everyone there, including my family in early July. His mom wanted to get some pictures. When it was mine and Dustin’s turn, his mom told us to do a different pose. When I turned a different way, he dropped on one knee with fireworks in the background. It was like a fairy tale.

 THE VENUE

The wedding was held at Starlight Lake in Marion, which is close to our family. Dustin’s one request for the wedding was to have water in the background…and to fish before the wedding, of course! After researching, I found Starlight Lake. It was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

FAVORITE PART

My most favorite parts of our wedding was when we did the first look, and walking down the aisle with my dad to marry my best friend at the end.   

 MEMORABLE MOMENT

The most memorable moment was having everyone there to see the best day of our lives.  

 ADVICE

The advice I would tell anyone is don’t stress about the little things. It will all work itself out in the end. You get to marry one another and that really is all that matters.
