How They Met 

We went to high school together. When I was a junior and Thomas was a senior, we started dating. We fell in love shortly after that.

The Proposal

We were standing outside, and he turned on the song “Love Don’t Change” by Jeremih, and he asked me to marry him. It was simple and sweet.

Wedding Venue 

Both the wedding and reception were held at the Field of Dreams in DeSoto. This was the first place we looked and we loved it! The outside was beautiful, and it had enough room to do the reception inside. Plus it was budget-friendly!

Wedding Inspiration

I didn’t have a set theme. I found ideas from Pinterest and picked my colors. I knew I wanted lace, greenery and flowers with the “wildflower” look to it. I gave all my ideas to my Aunt Richelle and she took care of the rest! 

Favorite Part

My favorite part of the wedding was the reception! It was a great finally being married and being able to celebrate with all of our family and friends. We loved seeing our daughter enjoy all of the food, dancing and family.

Memorable Moment

I was really nervous after I got my dress on before I walked outside to walk down the aisle. My dad was telling me that it was okay; I was just walking to Thomas. My favorite moment is right when I walked out the door. Thomas smiled at me, and the way he looked at me made me feel so much better. Once I got to Thomas, all of the nerves about that were gone and it was just us.

Advice

Do as much as you possibly can, decoration/food/flowers by yourself! Make sure you are doing what YOU want to do. The day is about ONLY you two. Don’t sweat every little detail; at the end of the day what really matters is that you are marrying the person you love!
